VIDEO: 27th Cruise-In registration opens, supports Lower Mainland charities

The Langley Good Times Cruise-In is returning to Aldergrove this September, bringing in thousands of car enthusiasts while raising funds for Lower Mainland charities.

Organizers have confirmed vehicle registration is now open for the 27th annual car show, set for Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by a swap meet on Sunday.

Last year, participants were required to sign up in advance for the first time in the event’s history due to space limitations as the show has grown in recent years. Organizers said the change helps guarantee registered participants a spot while reducing congestion.

In 2025, more than 1,300 vehicles and an estimated 100,000 people filled downtown Aldergrove, with the event raising about $90,000.

Proceeds have supported food banks, youth programs, therapeutic riding organizations, local support groups, and a trades scholarship for a Kwantlen Polytechnic University student pursuing a career in mechanics.

Participants can register for the car show or swap meet at langleycruisein.ca/pages/registration. Car show registration is $35, while swap meet vendor registration is $25 for one stall or $50 for two. Car corral vehicle registration is $50.

This year’s event will include a new “Battle of the Builders” competition with two categories: “Young Guns,” open to builders 29 and under (as of Nov. 7, 2025), and a “Pro” class for experienced hot rod shops.

The winners in each category will receive prizes and have their vehicle featured on official 2027 Cruise-In merchandise. The Young Guns category will be judged by special guest Quebec-based builder JF Launier, Langley Cruise-In president Braden Ulvild, and guest judges. Launier is known in the hot rod community for award-winning custom builds.

The Battle of the Builders Pro category will showcase craftsmanship and creativity from local builders, judged by a VIP panel. Eligible builds must be either in progress or completed after Aug. 1, 2025. With only 10 spots available, organizers say early registration is essential.

As planning continues, organizers say additional features and announcements will be shared in the months leading up to September. People can stay up to date with the event online at langleycruisein.ca.
