Learn about the beauty of lines and form, or design your own flower arrangement at ArtBar at The ACT Arts Centre.
A pen‑and‑ink workshop is coming up which will allow participants to explore how to capture the character of a simple two‑dimensional subject —such as a classic barn.
Participants will learn how to use clean, confident lines, thoughtful composition, and accessible shading techniques resulting in striking, expressive drawings.
Materials and reference images will be provided, though students are welcome to bring their own inspirational images.
All supplies are included plus one drink per ticket.
Participants must be 19 years or older.
ArtBar: Pen & Ink Study takes place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, in the 2D Studio, at The ACT Arts Centre, 11944 Haney Pl., Maple Ridge.
Tickets are $50 per person.
Explore essential floral design techniques with Sandra Taylor, owner of Westgate Flower Garden.
Taylor will teach participants how to create a playful, romantic floral arrangement inspired by soft textures, airy movement, and storybook charm using techniques like balance, color harmony, and natural movement.
Participants are asked to bring their own pruning shears for the workshop.
All other supplies are included plus one drink per ticket.
Students must be 19 years and older.
