Under the Sea is the theme this weekend for seniors in Maple Ridge.
On Friday, July 17, there is the Under the Sea-themed lunch, followed by a karaoke party on Saturday, July 18, hosted by the Ridge Meadows Seniors Society and all at the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre.
Regular lunch prices will be in effect on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the centre at 12150 224 Street, for the drop in event.
Everyone aged 55 years and older are welcome.
Seniors society membership is needed to attend the Under-the-Sea karaoke party.
The event will be beach party-themed – although costumes will be encouraged, but not required.
Songs like “Under the Board Walk,” “Margaritaville,” “Kokomo”, or “Sea of Love”, and more, will be available to belt out while enjoying the company of friends and delicious refreshments from a concession.
It is $2 for a drop-in pass.
The event will go from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre.
