Liam and Markus Ruck have been united.
The Osoyoos twins, 18, were selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins at this weekend’s NHL draft in Buffalo, N.Y.
While Liam was taken in the first round with the 22nd overall pick on Friday night, Markus went on the board at No. 39 overall on Saturday morning.
The Rucks spent parts of the last three seasons together with the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers.
In 2025-2026, Markus and Liam were No. 1 and 2 in WHL scoring, posting 108 and 104 points, respectively.
The forwards are graduates of the Penticton-based Okanagan Hockey Academy, suiting up for the program from 2020 to 2024.
