It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norah Donald Chalmers, on May 13, 2026, at the age of 91.
A life well lived began in Aberdeen Scotland with her father, mother and 4 brothers (pre-deceased by Leslie, Charlie, Jimmy, and Douglas). Norah married James Chalmers in Aberdeen in 1956, and soon emigrated to Canada, where they built a new life and family with 4 children. Norah and James lived in Pitt Meadows for many years and enjoyed a large group of friends through Soccer and various children’s activities. James worked as a sales manager, and Norah as a library tech at Maple Ridge Library. They eventually moved to Maple Ridge upon their retirement.
Norah is pre-deceased by husband James (2018) and son Craig (1986), and survived by son, Eric, and daughters, Noreen (Doug) and Linda (Rod), and grandchildren Kyle, Sam, Brady, Sydney and Shane, and great grandchild, Isaac.
Norah was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Per her wishes there will be not service, but a celebration of life will be arranged for some time in August.
