City of Maple Ridge property tax notices for 2026, which include applicable utility charges, will be arriving in the mail next week.
The bills have been emailed to accounts that have signed up for online services, and property taxes are due on July 2.
Property owners who do not receive their notice can sign up for a MyCity account at MapleRidge.ca/MyCity to view their account balance, print notices, pay, and enroll in eBilling.
Property taxes and utility bills can now be paid by credit card online through MyCity or eServices, or in person at City Hall, (11995 Haney Place). A 2 per cent non-refundable merchant service fee will apply to credit card payments.
Sanitary sewer flat fees for non-residential properties will now be based on consumption and billed quarterly through utility bills rather than included on the property tax notice.
The provincial government has updated its Property Tax Deferment Program for 2026, with interest now compounded quarterly instead of charged as simple interest twice a year. To learn more, contact gov.bc.ca/PropertyTaxDeferment.
To avoid lineups and late penalties, property owners are encouraged to pay early using one of the following methods:
• Online banking through your financial institution.
• Credit card through MyCity, eServices, Paymentus (a third party provider), or in person at City Hall.
• Cheque (not cash) using the secure 24-hour drop box at the north entrance of City Hall.
• Mail to City Hall, 11995 Haney Place. Postmarks are not accepted as proof of on-time payment

City Hall is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. In June, hours will be extended to 8 p.m. every Thursday.
The provincial government Home Owner Grant program helps reduce the amount of property tax for eligible homeowners. To avoid penalty, eligible owners must claim their grant by July 2, 2026 through the Province at gov.bc.ca/HomeOwnerGrantor or 1-888-355-2700.
