A semi-truck fire has the Coquihalla Highway closed northbound on Tuesday morning, April 21.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Monday night south of exit 276, Comstock Road, on the stretch between Hope and Merritt.
As of 7:40 a.m., the northbound lanes remain closed due to toxic materials on the highway.
Crews are on scene. It’s unknown what caused the fire.
Travellers can use Highway 1 or Highway 3 to Highway 5A as alternate routes.
