A local salmon protection group is looking for volunteers who are ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference in their community.
The Alouette River Management Society (ARMS) is partnering with Adopt-a-Block for two community cleanups coming up.
The first will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Pavilion Trail, and the other will be Friday, Aug. 7 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at ALLCO Park.
“Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or it’s your very first cleanup, we’d love to have you join us,” said ARMS. “Every piece of litter removed helps protect our parks, rivers, and the wildlife that call them home.”
All cleanup equipment and supplies are provided, but ARMS asks that volunteers bring their own sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and a positive attitude and willingness to help.
