Friends and family were invited to try it ‘Mike’s way’ at a soft opening of Jersey Mike’s first location in B.C.
The American sub shop is expanding in Western Canada, with a new location on Banks Road in Kelowna opening to the public on July 29.
“This being our first location in B.C. and being a travelling hub makes us really, really excited,” said Regional Manager for Western Canada Paul Day. “We get to see guests from other provinces, which is really cool, and the vibe here is really great.”
As part of the grand opening of any Jersey Mike’s, the business raises funds for Make-a-Wish Canada.

Ahead of opening day, Day said staff went around the community handing out Jersey Mike’s coupons.
“All that we ask is that you come back and give us $3 or a whole lot more,” Day said all funds will help make a Canadian kid’s wish come true. The costs of a bigger wish, like a trip to Disney, can costs upwards of $10,000 and Jersey Mike’s works toward that goal with each grand opening.
There are two other stores in the works in B.C. (Vancouver and Chilliwack) expected to open in the coming months.
