There is still time to purchase a hot or iced coffee to support Tim Hortons Camp Day.
All day on Wednesday, July 15, 100 per cent of proceeds from a coffee purchased at the restaurant chain is going to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps to help children from underserved communities change their lives.
Maple Ridge RCMP were in the community serving coffee for the special day.
“We appreciated the opportunity to be involved, and never give up the chance to serve double-doubles and Timbits to our community! (No cop-donut jokes allowed!),” said the RCMP online.
There are six Tim Horton camps across Canada, for youth who attend the multi-year development program to build confidence, resiliency, and critical skills to reach their full potential.
Two are in Ontario, one in Nova Scotia, one in Quebec, one in Manitoba, and one in beside Banff National Park in Alberta.
In addition to coffee, people can also support the camps by purchasing a Camp Day doughnut, a Camp Day bracelet, a Camp Day badge, round up their order, or put their spare change in a coin box at the restaurant locations.
