VIDEO: One charged in Langley double homicide

A 33-year-old man from Alberta has been charged with a double murder in South Langley.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) said Cregg Lafferty-Tuccaro of Alberta was charged with the second-degree murders of the two victims, an 18-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, who resided together at the residence in the 21000 block of 16 Ave. where the victims were discovered on April 27.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident where parties were known to each other, IHIT said.

Police said they will not be releasing the victim’s names “at this time out of respect for their families’ privacy, and because it is not needed to further the investigation.”

IHIT investigators made an arrest in the case on Sunday, May 3, following what was described as an extensive neighbourhood canvass, interviews with several witnesses and following up on leads from the public.

Lafferty-Tuccaro had no prior police history in BC, the IHIT statement said.

He is next scheduled to appear on May 11, 2026.

“This was a tragic incident and our hearts break for the victims’ families as they grieve the sudden loss of their loved ones,” says Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT.

“Our thoughts are with them as well as the first responders and support workers who responded to this call. Through teamwork and persistence, IHIT investigators gathered the evidence needed to secure charges, which we hope will support the healing of those impacted.”
