Altercation leads to double stabbing at Vancouver SkyTrain station: Police

A 30-year-old man is in custody after a double stabbing at a Vancouver SkyTrain station.

Officers were called to Joyce-Collingwood Station on Saturday (April 25) after calls to 911 reporting a stabbing in the bus bay, according to a news release from Vancouver police on Tuesday (April 28).

Police found two victims, who were both bleeding after allegedly getting into a physical altercation on the bus with an unknown suspect. Both men were transported to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, police said, reportedly fled the scene in an Evo rental vehicle before officers arrived. He was found and arrested shortly after near Joyce Street and East 41st Avenue.

Police will be recommending charges to the Crown against the 30-year-old Vancouver man. He remains in custody until his next court date on April 30.
