No quit in winter: Coquihalla Highway experiences 30 cm of snow

The winter weather isn’t quite done yet as 30 cm of snow hit the Coquihalla Highway on Tuesday, April 15.

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning on Tuesday morning, staying the stretch of Hope to Merritt would be expecting 15-25 cm.

The forecast was surpassed as 30 cm fall on Tuesday, according to Environment Canada’s weather summary. It stated the snow happened due to a low pressure system that passed through the province.

The Kootenay Pass also experienced 21 cm of snow.
