Maple Ridge Fire Rescue is bringing back Hot Summer Nights this summer – but only for one night.
From 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, firefighters will be set up at Fire Hall 4 for an evening of family fun.
There will be fire trucks on display, residents can meet their local firefighters, and learn about fire safety.
And, as long as there are no water restrictions, a fire hose will be spraying water from a ladder truck for everyone to cool off in the summer heat.
“We’re grateful that recent changes to local water restrictions have made it possible to bring Hot Summer Nights back,” said Maple Ridge firefighters online. “We also appreciate everyone’s understanding that, if water restrictions are reinstated before the event, we may need to cancel.”
“We can’t wait to see everyone on August 12 for a fun evening together,” they added.
The event takes place at 11240 238 St., Maple Ridge.
