Kelowna is crowded with people from across the province as B.C.’s youth compete in the 2026 B.C. Summer Games.
Running from July 22-26, over 3,000 athletes, coaches and officials are in the city to compete in 19 different sports.

The games see the province split into eight regions. As of 7 p.m. on July 24, Vancouver Coastal (Zone 5, dark green) is leading the medal count with 19 total, including nine gold. Fraser River has earned 18 medals, Fraser Valley has 16, Vancouver Island-Central Coast has 13, Cariboo-North East and Thompson-Okanagan each have five medals, North West has two medals, and Kootenays have one.
There are also 2,000 local volunteers making the games possible.
