WORLD CUP DAILY, July 10: France heads to the semi-finals

France is heading to the semi-finals after defeating Morocco 2-0 on Thursday (July 9).

Kylian Mbappé gave France the lead in the 69th minute. He has had 8 goals and three assists at the 2026 World Cup. Ousmane Dembélé doubled France’s lead 2-0, which they held onto until the final whistle.

Today Spain will play Belgium at noon in Los Angeles. This is the third time Spain faces a European opponent in the knockout stage.

They will play the winner of today’s Spain vs. Belgium match in Dallas on Tuesday (July 14).
