Ridge Meadows Seniors Society looking for board members

Ridge Meadows Seniors Society is looking for volunteer board of director members.

Positions are open to those who are 55 years and older and who live in either Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows.

People who have experience in the legal field, finance, advocacy and outreach, and fundraising and governance, would be preferred.

But, anyone who is eager to promote the value of the society’s services, and work on projects and committees, are also welcome to apply.

“If you believe in strengthening community connections, supporting healthy aging, and ensuring accessible programs for adults 55+, this is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact,” said Maria Perretta, executive director of the society.

The positions require a time commitment of 15 to 20 of volunteer hours per month, and to be available for in-person monthly meetings.

In addition, noted Perretta, volunteers would be required to contribute to strategic decision‑making that supports the society’s mission and long‑term sustainability.

Those interested can email: board@rmssseniors.org.
