Pitt Meadows set a new temperature record over the weekend.
According to Environment Canada, on Sunday, June 14, the temperature in the area spiked to 33.2C at around 6 p.m., the highest it’s been on that date since 2023.
Environment Canada only provides historical data from 2023 to 2026.
In 2023, the maximum temperature on June 14 was 17.8C, in 2024, the maximum was 17.9C, and in 2025 the maximum was 20.3C.
Monday, June 15, is expected to be cloudier than Sunday, with a high of 29C.
Temperatures will fall slightly with a mixture of sun and clouds on Wednesday, June 17, with a high of 20C expected.
Then the sun is expected to keep shining into the weekend with temperatures reaching 25C on Friday, 24C on Saturday, and 25C on Sunday.
