Strawberries were the theme of a special tea in Pitt Meadows on Thursday, June 4, to celebrate seniors in the community.
The annual Ridge Meadows Seniors Society Strawberry Tea was held in honour of B.C. Seniors Week from June 1-7.
This year the theme was “Experience Matters”.
More than 100 seniors attended to enjoy the live music and dancing at the Pitt Meadows Seniors Activity Centre.
And, homemade strawberry shortcake was served to everyone.
The seniors society Secure Document Shred-a-thon Fundraiser is taking place from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, June 13, in the parking lot of the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre at 12150 224 Street, rain or shine.
A minimum cash donation of $10 per plastic grocery bag of documents, and $25 for each banker or copy paper box, will be accepted.
Shredding is being provided by RecordXpress.
All donations will be going back to programs provided by the Ridge Meadows Seniors Society.
