Ultimate Fighting Championship fans in Canada have a new home to watch the promotion’s biggest events starting in 2027.
The mixed martial arts organization announced on Thursday (June 4) that they are moving away from the traditional pay-per-view model in Canada and will be offering its numbered events on the Paramount Plus streaming platform.
The deal runs for the next six years and the shows are included on all Paramount pricing options. Plans start at $7.99 per month. UFC pay-per-views currently cost consumers $69.99 per event.

Sportsnet remains the broadcast-rights holders in Canada, with preliminary fights on numbered events and Fight Night show remaining on that channel.
“Beginning in 2027, Paramount Plus subscribers in Canada will get every UFC numbered event main card live, at no additional cost,” stated UFC president and CEO Dana White. “Paramount has been an incredible partner that understands the power of UFC, and together we’re going to make it easier than ever for fans in Canada to watch the biggest fights in the sport. I love Canada and I’m very excited for the fans to be able to enjoy the Paramount experience.”
The United States and Latin America have had UFC numbered events on the platform starting earlier this year. The UFC stated that over 10 million households have watched more than 100 million hours of programming on Paramount so far this year.
Canada was the first market outside of the U.S. to receive the platform back when it was initially known as CBS All Access. It launched in Canada under that name in April 2018. The platform was re-branded to Paramount Plus in 2021.
Today if offers a variety of movies, original series, classic series, reality TV and sports. It is the home of the Star Trek universe, South Park, MTV programs, Comedy Central shows, UEFA Champions League and more.
“UFC is one of the most dynamic live sports properties in the world and we are thrilled to bring Paramount Plus subscribers in Canada into the Octagon in 2027 for no additional cost,” stated Rodrigo Mazón, Paramount+’s head of direct-to-consumer in Latin America and Canada. “Expanding our partnership into Canada lets us serve a deeply engaged MMA audience, while reinforcing what Paramount Plus is built for: premium live sports and globally relevant entertainment.”
Since debuting in Canada with Montreal’s UFC 83 in 2008, UFC has held 37 events across 11 cities in Canada. Vancouver’s Rogers Arena hosted UFC 115 (June 12, 2010), UFC 131 (June 11, 2011), UFC 174 (June 14, 2014) and most recently UFC 289 (June 11, 2023).
Details on the first event to stream live are expected to be announced later this year.
