Fund Run raises money for health care in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows

Get your runners ready for the 23rd annual Fund Run in support of the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.

This year, instead of awarding the fastest runners, organizers will be giving awards to the top fundraisers instead.

There will be an award for top individual fundraiser, top team fundraiser, and top youth fundraiser.

The Fund Run has been taking place in the community for more than 20 years, and every dollar raised helps deliver community and wellness programs across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Run times will still be monitored by SportStats for participants.

Those still interested in taking part can register from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on run day, Sunday, June 7, at Fairview Elementary, 12209 206 St, Maple Ridge.

Announcements and warm ups will take place at 8:45 a.m. and the run starts at 9 a.m.

The post race party and awards ceremony will take place 10:30 a.m.

As of Friday, June 5, $10,526.49 has been raised of a $50,000 goal.

More than $650,000 has been raised by the Fund Run over the past 22 years, which has gone towards funding health care equipment, high priority needs, and special projects at Ridge Meadows Hospital and in the community.
