Fore: Golfer struck by cart in Kelowna

Someone forgot to tell ‘fore’ on a Kelowna golf course over the weekend.

On Saturday, May 30 around 12:30 p.m., Emergency Health Services (EHS) were called to Black Mountain Golf Club for reports of a flipped golf cart. EHS called the Kelowna RCMP to also attend the scene.

Upon arrival, it was discovered a golf cart wasn’t flipped, but someone driving the cart accidentally drove into another golfer.

The involved parties also told officers that the cart collided with another cart while it was stopped earlier in the round.

The person who was struck treated by EHS and suffered minor injuries. In responses to Black Press Media, EHS said the patient was transported to the hospital in stable condition while the RCMP stated they were treated and released at the scene.

“Alcohol and drugs not suspected to be a factor in the incident,” said Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Steven Lang.
