One person suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 11 in Abbotsford on Monday (June 1) and was airlifted to hospital.
According to a news release from the Abbotsford Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 12:14 a.m. at the intersection of the highway and Townshipline Road. Two others were injured in the crash as well.
“Early indications suggest a vehicle was travelling eastbound on Townshipline Road and proceeded straight across Highway 11, striking the concrete barrier,” police said.
The crash closed Highway 11 in both directions between Harris Road and Clayburn Road. Per DriveBC, the highway remained closed until it reopened at approximately 8:15 a.m.
Abbotsford police were joined on scene by the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) to investigate the incident.
