Scorcher: 2 B.C. Interior cities break temperature records

Was this a sign of what this summer will have to offer?

On Thursday, May 28, two temperature records were broken in the Central Okanagan.

Both Kelowna and Vernon reached a high of 33.5 C.

In Kelowna, that broke a 31-year-old record of May 28, which was previously 32.7 C in 1995.

Vernon’s old record was 21 years old – 33.2 C in 2005.

Across the province, Pemberton and Trail both tied its previous records of 34.4 C.
