A proud mother Canada goose is now watching over a brood of fuzzy yellow goslings at a South Surrey secondary school.
When a Canada goose laid eggs in a courtyard planter at Earl Marriott Secondary, staff and students kept their distance, but were able to install a camera to livestream the expecting mother on youTube.
Dubbed ‘Gloria’ by the school, the mom now has at least five goslings in her nest, located in an enclosed courtyard at the school.
Usually, Canada geese parents take their offspring to a water source within approximately the first 24 hours of hatching, according to online sources.
