A 10-year-old child riding a scooter was involved in a collision on Wednesday in Maple Ridge.
The crash took place at around 12:45 p.m. in the 19600 block of Hammond Road.
First responders including BC Emergency Health Services, Maple Ridge RCMP, and Maple Ridge Fire and Rescue responded to the call.
One ambulance with primary care paramedics attended the scene. However, no patients required transportation to hospital, said Brian Twaites with BCEHS.
Traffic travelling east along Hammond Road had to go around a firetruck blocking the lane as first responders examined the child.
