Ontario murder suspect may be in B.C.: Ontario Provincial Police

A murder suspect wanted in Ontario could be in a number of places in B.C., says the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Joeseph Madore, 34, from Ottawa, has known associations in the Terrace, Richmond, Abbotsford and Chilliwack areas, the OPP said in a May 10, 2026 release.

He and Brayton Kennedy, 28, also from Ottawa, are wanted for the second degree murder of Christo Allison Richards, 34, of Ottawa.

Police were called to a park in Perth south of Ottawa on the afternoon of April 12, 2026 where they found Richards suffering from life-threatening injuries. He later did in hospital.

While police are looking for information on the whereabouts of the two men they are issuing a caution warning.

“If seen, do not approach. Anyone with information regarding their whereabots is urged to contact police immediately,” the OPP release states.

Kennedy may still be in the Ottawa area or travelling with Madore.

Police believe the death was a targeted incident.

Madore is described as being 6’ 2” tall, weighing 189 pounds with a medium build. He has hazel eyes, black hair and tattoos.

Kennedy is described as 5’ 11’ tall weighing 260 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes and a tattoo on his forehead above the left eyebrow.
