A pedestrian was struck by a sedan in downtown Maple Ridge on Friday afternoon, May 8, and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The incident happened on Lougheed Highway, at the junction with 227th Street, at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Police said the extent of the injuries is not yet known, and they are just starting their investigation.
The driver remained on scene and appeared to be cooperating with police.
