Maple Ridge Chorus is inviting the community to their annual spring concert.
For “Lights Along the Road: Music of Adventure, Self-Discovery and Connection,” the chorus will light up the stage with songs of bold leaps, soulful searching, and the powerful bonds that, “guide us home.”
The concert will feature showstoppers from Broadway, stirring choral classics, and blazing new anthems of hope and perseverance.
Under the direction of artistic director, Frank Zieginson, audiences will be surprised and delighted by the mastery of this well-tuned choir and a smaller group known as the Chamber Singers.
It will also feature James Dekker on the piano.
There will be two concerts, one on Friday, May 29, at 7 p.m. and the other at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 31.
Both concerts will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,12145 Laity St., Maple Ridge.
Tickets are limited and are available through eventbrite.ca under Maple Ridge Choral Society, for both performances.
They are selling for $22.50 plus fees online, and $30 each at the door.
Children under 12 are free and the event is wheelchair accessible.
A smaller number of tickets may be available at the door, but this is not guaranteed.
The choir thanks the community for the outpouring of support and is incredibly proud to bring this moving performance to our audiences, said Shawna Van Aert, the choral society’s concert chair.
Maple Ridge Choral Society was established in 1933, and they perform as the Maple Ridge Chorus.
It is the longest continually running community choir in the area.
The choir is an all-inclusive and non-audition mixed choir.
