A man was shot dead in broad daylight at a Surrey business on Monday afternoon (May 4).
The shooting happened at an office complex at 13049 76 Ave., where Surrey Police and IHIT (Integrated Homicide Investigation Team) officers remain on scene.
A Black Press freelancer on scene reported the call came about 3 p.m. Monday.
Surrey Police has confirmed that at about 3:03 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to calls of a shooting at a business in the 13000-block of 76 Avenue and found a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers provided medical assistance until BCEHS arrived but, despite-life saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead on scene.
No arrests have been made, and there is no suspect information to share at this point, SPS says.
IHIT has now taken over the investigation and is working in partnership with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.
The office complex remains behind police tape.
