A special evening on the history of the Katzie First Nation will be taking place at the Maple Ridge Public Library.
Len Pierre, who is Coast Salish from the Katzie First Nation will be exploring the history, territory, and stories of the land.
Katzie cultural practices like hunting, fishing, cedar harvesting, and family raising, will be discussed.
Pierre is an award winning entrepreneur, professor, consultant, TEDx speaker, social activist, change agent, and traditional knowledge sharer.
The event called “Introduction to Katzie First Nation History” is taking place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at 22470 Dewdney Trunk Rd, Maple Ridge.
