The City of Pitt Meadows has received the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its 2025 budget.
The prestigious national award recognizes local governments that prepare budget documents meeting the highest standards for transparency, accountability, responsible financial planning, and clear public communication.
To receive this honour, the city’s budget had to meet guidelines across four key areas, demonstrating its effectiveness as a policy guide, financial plan, operations guide and communications tool.
The 2025 budget included combined property tax and utility fee increases of 9.1 per cent.
