The Haney Farmers Market is bringing back one of its popular family events this Saturday, Aug. 1, in the annual zucchini race.
Participants will be invited to get their vegetable ready for the track, with wheels and decorations, and then enter their zucchini racer in the competition. All materials will be provided.
The vendor list for the popular market at Memorial Peace Park (11925 Haney Pl.) features 60 booths with numerous farmers selling fresh, locally grown produce; bakers; artisans; vendors with prepared foods, and much more. There will also be bottlers of beer, wine and spirits.
The music will be provided by singer/songwriter John Bowman, playing at Cafe Corner.
The market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
