With hot temperatures and poor air quality enveloping the Lower Mainland, the Ridge Meadows Seniors Society is reminding residents that there is air conditioning in both their facilities for those who need to cool off.
Both centres are open as cooling centres, with the Maple Ridge Seniors Activity Centre at 12150 224 St., open from Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; and from 10a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Pitt Meadows Seniors Activity Centre at 19065 119B Ave., is open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Both centres are closed on Sunday.
“Drop in, cool off and relax with us,” said the seniors society online.
