Gun, drug charges laid 10 months after Surrey police raid

Gun and drug charges have been laid related to a police search in Surrey last September by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia.

During the search police seized 3D printed Glock firearm parts including receivers, grips, gun magazines, rail kits, ammunition, gun barrels, a GPS tracker, a loaded 3D printed firearm, and methamphetamine, MDMA and a cutting agent.

Sergeant Sarbjit Sangha, of CFSEU-BC, said a 3D printer was actively printing a gun at the time.

“Multiple individuals were arrested at the time of the search and were later released pending the completion of the investigation and charge assessment process,” she said.

The BC Prosecution Service on July 6 approved a charge of possession of a firearm without the required licence or registration against Scott William Telford, Bryce Scott Telford and Candice Ashley Somerville.

Bryce Scott Telford and Candice Ashley Somerville are also charged with possession of a firearm with readily accessible ammunition, without the required licence or registration, unauthorized manufacturing of a firearm, possession of computer data capable of being used with a 3D printer for the purpose of manufacturing or trafficking a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm for the purpose of transferring it or offering to transfer it, possession of methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDMA) for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking

Bryce Scott Telford is also charged with possession of a firearm while he was prohibited from doing so.

Sangha said the Telfords are in custody and an arrest warrant has been issued for Somerville.
