A FIFA-inspired, soccer-themed Youth Entrepreneur Day will be taking place at the Pitt Meadows Farmers Market.
The event will promote youth vendors and businesses, in addition to youth sports clubs and community groups – with an emphasis on soccer.
It follows the end of what people are describing as a wildly successful World Cup that was hosted in Vancouver this summer.
Pitt Meadows Farmers market will also feature the freshest produce in the Lower Mainland, as well as artisan-made goods and small-scale food producers.
“BC farmers’ markets are where the world discovers the true taste of British Columbia. BC Farmers’ Markets are also where many successful Canadian businesses such as Earnest Ice Cream and Big Mountain Foods first got their start.” said Heather O’Hara, executive director of the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets.
“Our farmers’ market vendors bring traditions, recipes, and stories from across the globe, while using ingredients grown right here in BC. Everyone is welcome at our markets, whether you’re visiting from another country or just down the road,” she said.
The Youth Entrepreneur Day takes place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, at Spirit Square, 11985 Harris Rd, Pitt Meadows.
