A new season of entertainment has been announced by The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council, along with a new collaboration with the Mission Arts Council.
This partnership between both arts councils will have Arts On live performances at venues in Maple Ridge and also The Clarke Theatre in Mission for the 2026/27 season.
“Through partnerships with community venues, Arts On is creating more opportunities for audiences across the region to experience live arts close to home,” explained the arts council.
The McDades will be kicking off the Arts On season with a performance on Friday, Sept. 18, at Burnett Church in Maple Ridge.
This five-piece band, built around siblings Shannon, Solon, and Jeremiah McDade, will be bringing together Celtic-rooted folk, jazz influence, and global rhythms, moving between original material and traditional songs in English and French.
The performance is shaped by how the musicians listen and respond to each other, with improvisation throughout.
In November Arts On programming will be moving to Mission, with Shari Ulrich and The Unfaithful Servants.
The concert will be bringing together two well-known names in Canadian acoustic music, with individual sets from each artist and moments of collaboration throughout the evening.
Ulrich’s career includes solo work and projects such as The Hometown Band and Pied Pumkin, while The Unfaithful Servants are a Vancouver Island quartet known for vocal harmonies and ensemble playing.
This concert will be taking place Nov. 28 at The Clarke Theatre.
Then on Dec. 19, Winter Harp will be taking the stage at The Clarke Theatre for a performance of their beloved, long-running
seasonal concert inspired by medieval and Celtic traditions.
The evening will feature harps, flutes, percussion, and period instruments, combining music, narration, and costuming in a concert
centered on winter storytelling and tradition.
Piano Bar is also back with seven new dates starting in September, 2026, until April 2027.
More Arts On programming will be announced throughout the fall and winter as the season continues to roll out.
Tickets for the fall season are on sale at: https://arts-on.org/.
The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council was founded in 1971 and rebranded itself at Arts On Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows in 2025, just before the City of Maple Ridge took over programming at The ACT Arts Centre.
