UPDATE:
An evacuation alert has been issued for properties west of Tulameen on Lawless Creek Road and Tulameen River Road due to the Grasshopper Mountain wildfire.
The blaze sparked Tuesday afternoon and quickly grew to an estimated 22 hectares. BC Wildfire responded to the incident with air tankers and helicopters alongside the Tulameen and District Fire Department.
The Regional District of the Okanagan Similkameen asks those living on properties under the evacuation alert to prepare to evacuate the premises should it be deemed necessary.
“Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation; however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions,” stated the RDOS.
The Grasshopper Mountain wildfire was first reported sometime before 4 p.m. and is currently under investigation.

The blaze west of Princeton was the third to spark in the Kamloops Wildfire Centre on Tuesday.
A wildfire that started in Kalamoir Park just after 10 a.m. grew to 8 hectares and forced approximately 357 households in West Kelowna to be placed on an evacuation order.
High winds intensified the blaze, leading to an evacuation alert being issued for another 742 addresses.
Quick work by BC Wildfire and the West Kelowna and Kelowna fire departments managed to have the blaze held before 5 p.m
No homes were lost, no injuries were reported; however, the wildfire is being investigated as suspicious.
South of Kamloops along Highway 5A, the Kullagh Creek wildfire grew to 149 hectares. A state of local emergency was declared, as the Thompson-Nicola Regional District issued an evacuation order for one property and an evacuation alert for 30 properties.
The rapidly growing wildfire near Stump Lake was initially reported as 30 hectares on Tuesday morning, but by the early afternoon had grown to 130 hectares.
UPDATE: June 16, 4:28 p.m.
The fire that sparked near Tulameen, west of Princeton is now 15 hectares.
According to BCWS, it remains out-of-control.

A 0.009 hectare fire sparked near Tulameen, west of Princeton, Tuesday afternoon.
According to BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), the out-of-control fire (K60575) started at 3:21 p.m. on June 16.
The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
The fire is currently listed near Grasshopper Mountain.
