Canadian classic rock trio announced for Abbotsford in October

Canadian classic rock is taking over Abbotsford’s Rogers Forum on Friday, Oct. 30.

The trio of Honeymoon Suite, Streetheart and Harlequin invade the Fraser Valley, with tickets going on sale on Friday (June 19).

The Niagara Falls-based Honeymoon Suite formed in 1981 and have gone on to release nine studio records and two live albums. They most recently dropped Wake Me Up When The Sun Goes Down in 2025.

The group blew up following their debut self-titled album in the summer of 1984 and it sold more than 300,000 copies in Canada alone. The hit single New Girl Now reached seventh on then US rock singles charts and 57th overall and got to 23rd in Canada. Other top singles included: Feel It Again, Bad Attitude, Love Changes Everything and What Does It Take.

Honeymoon Suite has sold more than one million copies and won the 1986 Juno Award for Group of the Year.

Streetheart is celebrating its 50 anniversary in 2026 and the group was originally formed in Regina. They have released seven studio and two live albums over that half-century of existence.

The band earned the 1980 Juno Award for Most Promising Group of the Year and they went on to collect six gold and four platinum albums in Canada. Former lead singer Kenny Shields died in 2017, but the group has continued to tour and last released the Life. Legacy. Music. album in 2019.

Harlequin formed in Winnipeg in 1975 and has released six studio records and one live album.

The group saw eight singles between the years of 1979 to 1986 reach the Canadian charts including 1982’s I Did It For Love (19th), 1980’s Innocence (29th) and 1982’s Superstitious Feeling (29th).

Harlequin was inducted into the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2006 and last released the Live On/Q album in 2009.
