The Bentalls coming to Maple Ridge

Kick up your heels for a night of country music at Ruskin Hall featuring The Bentalls.

The evening will begin with Vancouver-based classic country balladeers Cello and Mark, who weave the banjo, guitar, and smooth vocals, to bring cozy warmth into classic country love songs, and ancient ballads alike.

Cello and Mark have travelled festival grounds from Asheville, NC, to Toronto, ON, where they have continuously honed their craft.

Chaya Harvey will also be taking to the stage. Known for Twilight Country and Americana, Harvey’s sound captures the nostalgic resonance of early country and folk music, evoking deep connections to the vast Canadian landscape, and capturing the struggles and joys of life.

The Bentalls, who blur the lines between folk and rock with their country-spun duets, are anchored by partners in music and life, Dustin and Trixie.

Dustin will be performing on his father’s old six-string guitar, and Trixie playing everything else, the duo will take the audience on a journey through their timeless catalogue through their road-word originals.

They are currently in pre-production for their debut full-length recording.

The night will be capped off with an old time barn dance lead by The Smokin’ Ham String Band.

Tickets to the concert are $40 each.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m., with dancing at 9:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 13, at Ruskin Hall, 28395 96 Ave., Maple Ridge.
