An evening of burlesque, drag, and adult fun coming to Maple Ridge

From Iceland to Prague and now to Maple Ridge, burlesque performer Jezebel Express will be coming to town with Bells and Whistles Burlesque.

Jezebel has travelled the world performing burlesque, and the Newfoundlander is currently an instructor of the art form at the New York School of Burlesque.

The internationally sought after headliner is known for her quick wit and spectacular “shimmy-shaking” performances.

Androsia Wilde, current artistic director for the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival and past competitor at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, will also be performing.

Bells and Whistles Burlesque is planning an evening of burlesque, drag, music, adult fun, and city nightlife at the ACT in Maple Ridge, featuring a cast of locally and internationally celebrated burlesque performers.

Giving a nod to the rich history of burlesque, the group will be celebrating the provocative allure, the slow reveal, the opulent costumes and fancy props such as fans, silks, boas and gloves.

Cast members also include: Mx Dee Twenty, the host; Hotsy Flashy; Genesis; Ruby Revel; Calliope de Muse; and Alice Carte.

The show will be curated in the tradition of burlesque aesthetic, but with a modern artistic messaging. All types of bodies, genders, ages, and abilities will be on the stage.

They were voted top Entertainment in Maple Ridge by Community Votes last year, and are promising a show that will bring adult fun and entertainment to Maple Ridge – a date night sure to impress.

The show takes place from 8 p.m. to 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, at 11995 Haney Place, Maple Ridge.

You must be 19 years or older to see the show.

Early bird pricing is available now until June 30.
