Gaming revenue flows to non-profits in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows

Gambling revenue is flowing from the provincial government to community organizations across B.C.

Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows MLA Lisa Beare said community members will benefit from enhanced programs and community services, funded through commercial gambling revenue from the B.C. Lottery Corp.

“Local organizations give so much back to our communities,” said Lisa Beare, MLA for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows. “Across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, these grants are supporting essential programming that make our lives better.”

There are 19 organizations in the area receiving more than $1.2 million, including:

• Cythera Transition House – $103,000

• Ridge Meadows Hospice Society- $95,000

• Ridge Meadows Association for Community Living- $121,600

In 2025-2026, more than $56 million was distributed among 1,225 non-profit organizations through the Human and Social Services stream of the Community Gaming Grants program.
