The search of North Thompson River continues for a missing person, with some help from neighbouring crews.
Vernon Search and Rescue (SAR) has been tasked to assist as mutual aid with Kamloops SAR in the an ongoing search Monday, May 18.
Kamloops Search and Rescue was called out by the RCMP on Sunday night, just after 7 p.m., to search for a missing person in the river following a car crash.
“The team mobilized swiftwater, ground search, and drone teams,” Kamloops SAR said Monday morning. “The search will continue today, both on land and on the water.
“We ask the public to please avoid the area of Schubert Drive between Evans and Birch and give emergency responders the space they need to work safely.”
