A youth was arrested after admitting to owning a “concerning” TikTok account that allegedly implied a possible attack at a Peace River school in Alberta, police say.
Peace River RCMP say the youth was arrested in connection with he incident on Thursday (May 7), around 4:30 p.m. The youth is currently in custody pending a bail hearing.
Charges have not yet been sworn, but it’s expected the youth will be charged with uttering threats.
RCMP was first alerted to the alleged threats on May 6 around 8:33 p.m. from a tw-day-old re-posted TikTok video related to threats to schools, according to a release Thursday morning.
Police said the captions mentioned that Peace River was next.
