Drivers paying $1 per litre during Enderby gas war

Drivers are the victors of a gas war in Enderby that has regular selling at a buck a litre.

As of 2:40 p.m. on May 6, drivers could fuel up at the Splatsin owned Quilakwa Canco for 99.9 cents per litre of regular.

“This little blast from the past probably won’t last long… so come fill up while you can!” said the band in a post on social media.

Celebrating its grand opening a short distance south of the Canco on Highway 97A, Charlie’s Gen 7 was selling regular at just over $1 a litre.

Meanwhile, at other stations in the region, drivers were paying more than $2 per litre to fill up.

Drivers were reportedly lined up on the highway to reap the savings at the two Enderby stations.
