TransLink has added more bus service to more than 40 routes across the region, including four routes in Maple Ridge.
As part of spring service changes every April, TransLink increases seasonal service on routes around the region to improve access to popular outdoor destinations through the summer months. With the school year ending, the transit authority also makes seasonal adjustments on some routes serving post-secondary institutions, with these changes in place until September.
The local changes include more service on:
• 701/Maple Ridge East-Coquitlam Central Station, by adding one trip on weekday afternoons.
• 745 Haney Place/Cottonwood, with new trips towards Cottonwood on weekday afternoons.
• 746 Haney Place/Albion, with new trips towards Haney Place on weekday afternoons.
• 791 Haney Place/Braid Station, shortening wait times on weekday mornings and evenings.
TransLink reports service increases to more than 42 routes across the region, with 32,000 additional service hours.
The changes are intended to reduce overcrowding on the busiest routes.

TransLink also announced holiday service for Victoria Day, May 18. With holiday fares in effect a one-zone fare will allow travel across all zones. Buses, Skytrain and Seabus will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule, but the West Coast Express will not run.
