Set up begins for weekend home show in Maple Ridge

Tuesday morning marked the beginning of set up for the Ridge Meadows Home Show.

The first of the more than 300 exhibitors began setting up in the Golden Ears Winter Club and Planet Ice for the weekend show which begins Friday, May 1 and goes until Sunday, May 3.

Ryan Ramos and Marshall Mulgrave were setting up the Centra Windows Install Pros booth, a staple at what is fondly dubbed “The Everything Show”, one of the largest home shows in the province.

Maple Ridge resident Kevin Veldman, owner of Amazing Gates and Fencing Ltd., and Terry Lambe were setting up their booth on Tuesday, April 28.

Veldman said he has been a part of the home show for the past five to six years.

“This show is really good to us,” he said, noting that the show is held at the perfect time of the year when people are beginning their home renovations and outdoor projects.

And, he added he knows almost all of the people who work at the home show and they really appreciate him being there.

The Ridge Meadows Home Show has been taking place in the community for more than four decades.

It will take over Planet Ice and the Golden Ears Winter Club where guests can find everything to do with home renovation, outdoor landscaping, and health and wellness.
