Film crews to descend on Maple Ridge city hall and surrounding area

City of Maple Ridge is advising the public that city hall services will not be interrupted next week despite film crews in the area.

Crews will be filming at: city hall, 11995 Haney Place; at The ACT, 11944 Haney Place; and at Memorial Peace Park, 11930 224 Street.

Filming will run from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1.

From 7-10 a.m. on April 26 crews will be prepping council chambers, and the lobby and plaza at city hall.

The shoot will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 27, and will wrap the next day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Also on April 26, crews will be prepping the Craft Studio at The ACT from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., for the shoot from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on April 27.

They will be wrapping from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 28, but there will be another shoot at the studio from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on April 30.

The east sidewalk in Memorial Peace Park will have film crews blocking it from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on April 30.

From noon until 8 p.m. filming will be taking place in the Economic Development Office at city hall.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask that you please plan accordingly,” said the city.
