A Canadian Pacific train derailed north of Nicomen on Saturday (April 18).
Tricia Thorpe, electoral director of the area, said it appeared all of the train cars remained upright.
Thorpe said in a social media spoke that she, “Spoke with CN at site and they advise no apparent coal spillage.”
She added that the derailment occurred on the tracks across the Thompson River, so there is no impact to the highway.
