In her 94th. year, Janis Buckingham was freed from the bonds of dementia. Her generous spirit, released while spring blooms around us, continues to surround the family and will watch over her newborn great grandson.
Janis was born and grew up in Malaysia and taught school there. After immigrating to Canada, she worked in real estate and banking and volunteered for several organizations. Janis was admired as a classy, serene woman with great depth and strength of character. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle heart, and radiant smile.
She is survived by children Roy, Shanti and son-in-law Paul, husband Michael, and several grandchildren, in-laws, and extended family.
